Low-tox: Low negative impact

Hair color formulas sometimes include organic ingredients- giving it the term ‘organic hair color’. It can be gentler on the scalp and more nourishing for the hair. Although, the label ‘organic’ is often misleading. While we recognize its benefits, hair colors and products often still contain allergens or irritants. Additionally, this does not mean it is inherently healthier or more sustainable.

We refocus this wellness approach by prioritizing a product’s overall impact, while maintaining industry-standard performance.

Some ingredients we avoid:

  • PPD (para‑phenylenediamine) and synthetic fragrance: common allergens

  • Resorcinol: heavily regulated and restricted

  • Formaldehyde and formaldehyde‑releasing agents: classified as human carcinogens by the IARC and WHO

  • SLS and ammonia: known irritants

  • Phthalates and parabens: concerns over cumulative environmental and health effects

Every product used in both chemical and styling services has been thoughtfully selected to accommodate the health needs of our clients. Hair product formulated on green‑chemistry principles can lead to effective, beautiful results.

This low-tox, honest approach to “clean beauty” considers wellness to every client and our stylists.
