Low-tox: Low Impact

Hair color formulas can include organic ingredients that make them gentler on the scalp, more nourishing for the hair, and better for enhancing shine, softness, and manageability. Often the term ‘organic’ can be misleading. While organic ingredients can offer certain benefits, hair colors and products may still contain allergens or irritants. Additionally, it does not make the product inherently healthier or more sustainable.

We focus on avoiding negative impact while maintaining industry-standard performance.

Ingredients we avoid:

  • PPD (para‑phenylenediamine) and synthetic fragrance: common allergens

  • Resorcinol: heavily regulated and restricted

  • Formaldehyde and formaldehyde‑releasing agents: classified as human carcinogens by the IARC and WHO

  • SLS and ammonia: known irritants

  • Phthalates and parabens: concerns over cumulative environmental and health effects

For all clients, including those with sensitivities, formulations are designed to minimize irritation. Green‑chemistry principles guide the integration of ingredients that are both effective and healthy for the hair.

This honest approach to “clean beauty” considers wellness to every client and stylist.
